The Sheffield Report

Every year my company throws a Christmas party in Jacksonville, Florida. Every year they also have contests for some serious cashola. This year it was a 60's costume party, so Ali and I dressed up as Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy. Kinda funny that we went as adulterers to my company's party (i.e. the company I work for is Christian-Affiliated). Anyways, we won the costume contest and got second place in the dance contest. In all, we brought home a $1000! Too bad it all had to go toward one friggin' hospital bill. Just once do I want prize money to go towards something we want, rather than a bill or our debt payments. Boooo!

I just had to take my baby boy in for his second round of vaccinations. This one wasn't as bad the first round, because he didnt cry for 7 hours non-stop, but it was hard because it was just me there, since Ali wasn't able to take off of work. She usually can soothe that baby to stop crying in a matter of seconds...it takes me considerably longer. Also, why when you build a home are there so many hidden fees that they hit you with at the end of the year. It was gonna be a pretty good Christmas, but now we get bills for almost a $1000. All stuff that either should have been paid at closing or things that our mortgage guy didnt tell us about! Just remember, never trust anyone who is making you sign a contract. It goes with them all, i.e cellphone companies, car salesmen, and mortgage companies. All sharks!
